However, it also results some negative impacts. A lot of green resolutions are provided from the governments. Among these, Product service system (PSS) is recognized as effective method to solve the environmental problem fundamentally. PSS is a change of fundamentally structure. It not only changes the customer behavior, but also changes the market value. PSS is a special model for the enterprise. It provides the functional service to satisfy the customer needs and improve the environmental effectiveness through the innovative business service model. In this research, it explores five maintenance service models for different industries. A quantitative utility model of PSS maintenance service is constructed based on the system performance that includes cost, service performance indices, and carbon footprint. Four aspects are explored based on the utility: (1) Bases on the goal of total utility, it focused on the improvement of cost, carbon dioxide, and service performance indices. (2) Based on the goal of cost utility, it focused on the improvement of five maintenance service models. (3) Based on the carbon dioxide improvement, it focused on the improvement of five maintenance service models. (4) Based on the service performance indices improvement, it focused on the improvement of five maintenance service models. Based on the above analysis, it will provide the results for decision maker for the judgment references. Keywords: product service system, carbon footprint, service performance indices
