Take Taipei City Government as an example, the front-line civil servant-village director has faced increased work load from different departments of Taipei City Government where exists a problem of manpower shortage. Therefore, this study tries to explore the relationships among work role conflict, identity accumulation, others’ acceptance of one’s aspired self, and work role salience. This study has smapled from all the village director in Taipei City Government, and finally collected 334 valid questionnaires. This study uses hierarchical regression to verify hypotheses we established. This study concludes that work role vagueness, conflict, and loading enhance front-line civil servants’ perceptionof work anxiety. Furthermore, role loading, conflict, and vagueness positively affect recognition for work pressure. The negative emotion is justified to moderate the relationships among role loading, role conflict, and vaguenes
