KuiXing(魁星) is a god of Imperial Examination because its name has propitious meaning in Ming and Qing Dynasty. The key feature is the examination result forecasted by KuiXing(魁星) so that scholars enjoyed collecting and purchasing drawings and clayey figurines of KuiXing(魁星). KuiXing(魁星)belief spreads to Taiwan in Qing Dynasty. Local history said the scholars hold the grand ceremony to celebrate its birthday. Even if Imperial Examination Age passed by, KuiXing(魁星)belief had been supporting the examinee''s spirit. This article divides into five chapters. The first chapter is introduction. The second chapter is the origin and the development of KuiXing(魁星) belief. The third chapter is KuiXing(魁星) belief in Taiwan. The fourth chapter is cultural meaning of KuiXing(魁星)belief.
