To achieve the above purpose, this study verified the questionnaire’s reliability, validity and existence of the relevant constructs, and further established the relevant models. The theoretical foundation were based on the past literatures and empirical studies. The study samples were consisted with 97–school year’s college and university students in Taiwan, and administered by the internet survey of stratified random sampling. The first returned sample was 478 students at Ming Chuan university, and the second returned sample was 333 students from various colleges and universities in Taiwan, and made total pretest sample was 811. The posttest sample was 753 college and university students in Taiwan. The questionnaire of the study was borrowed and translated into Chinese version from Meerkerk, Van Den Eijnden, Vermulst, & Garretsen about the compulsive internet use scale (CIUS) in 2009. The results of the study did confirm the first-order model of confirmatory factor analysis, and five factors were named as "withdrawal symptoms", "network significance", "reduce the use of Internet", "ignore the work", and "emotional control". Furthermore, the Taiwanese CIUS version seems performed better than the original version, and revealed that CIUS apply well in Taiwan. The results of the study can provide relevant school counselors’ good guidance about the healthy internet use, and also serve as a good reference for future study.
