According to the information promulgated by The Ministry of Commerce PRC, the investment amount that Taiwan enterprises invested to China reached USD 47.66 billion in 2008, ranked the fifth place among foreign traders. However, unofficial statistics revealed that the investment amount exceeding USD 122.2 billion. Mainland China turned into the focus point that the Taiwan enterprises invests in , possess a major status to the survival and development of Taiwan enterprise, even so, the general public only pay attention to concentrate on high-tech Industries, actuality,as for traditional industries such as food manufacturing industry, the astounding latent capacity of the domestic market of Mainland China must not be neglected definitely. Want-Want group and Ting Hsin group are two of the most outstanding figures, which originally an small and medium-sized enterprises, investing in China that rely on it’s business owner, and later, develop into an enterprise groups. It’s strategy of diversification will highly be worthful for us to explore. In this research, it will be focus on the influence of diversification by the group owner’s leadership style and the connection between this style and its business performance. The consequence of this research is illustrated as follow: 1.The results of interview show that the interviewee classified those two enterprise owner’s leadership being telling-type. The only way for an enterprise to expend its market in China is to have direct command and quick response on its management advantages. 2.The enterprises usually get the positive return on its growth rate and turnover by carry out the diversification strategies. 3.The business performance will be influenced by the leadership rather than strategies’ direction of diversification.
