The purpose of this study was to analyze the electricity generation sector in Taiwan potential energy saving and power efficiency for low and high pollution, thermal power generation systems, energy conversion and evaluation unit to conduct the feasibility of replacing. First, Taiwan's power industry to forecast future energy demand, and then for the major thermal power generation facilities to power the old inefficient equipment with high power conversion efficiency of IGCC & CCGT, the primary objective is to achieve maximum efficiency of energy use to energy situation as the assumptions . The results appear in the same generation, the primary energy consumption can be reduced up to 34.6%, carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by 37.8%, with carbon prices to develop power generation equipment cost is relatively cheap, the results of this study can be used as domestic power generation industry to enhance efficiency important reference.
