How to retain the outstanding human capital has become a crucial human resources issue in the airline industry. This study aims to examine the work value that the airline employees are currently holding together with their perception of the organization career management, and the corresponding impact on their organizational commitment. Further exploration was also conducted of person-organization fit and the various factors of the business environment and their interferences. The study adopted a questionnaire method with 653 samples collected from the five airlines in Taiwan. After analysis of the data, the results and some practical recommendations are addressed. First of all, the airline industry employees’ work value has a positive impact on the organizational commitment. Second, their perception of the organization career management has the same positive impact on the organizational commitment. Third, the person-organization fit is attributable to the employees’ work value and their organizational commitment. Fourth, the service years of the employees may influence their perception of the organization career management and their organizational commitment. Last, the departments that the employees are associated with can affect their work value and their organizational commitment. In brief, the findings of the study are expected to be helpful to the improvement of human resource management for the Airline Industry in Taiwan.
