However, purchase power is affected by many macroeconomic factors, e.g. interest rate, stock index, government policy etc. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the major macroeconomic factors affecting housing demand. Results show that: 1. By transforming the dependent variable, this study finds that growth rate of stock index is positively related to building prices, while M2 has a negative effect. 2. The growth rate of stock index has a positive effect on building cases. However, M2 and monitoring indicator are both negatively related to building cases. 3. In both building square measure and household, growth rate of stock index has a positive effect, while M2 has a negative effect. Wen-Chih, Lee Ching-Chieh, Lin 李文智 林靖傑 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 55 zh-TW
