The T5 fluorescent light has more advantages than the other types of fluorescence lighting equipment in these years and under the advocate of energy conservation policy, now a day it has been installed at the official departments in large number and becomes the mainstream of the illuminating market. On the other hand, under the energy conservation and the environmental protection gradually become to the important topic globally, lighting equipment with white ligth emitting diode (LED) consumes less energy and reduces emissions; it has been considered as the most potential lighting source for the next generation in the future. Currently the LED lighting product has the obstruction of high cost, optic, cooling and electrical control problems etc.Besides, there are not suitable products standard and the measure method to control the products’quality, caused the utilization ratio of the cosumers is somewhat low. This research is focus on the T5 fluorescence and LED lighting equipment installed at building basement parking. Measurement of the illumination degree and energy consumption values under the same environment and conditions for both types of lighting equipment at the unstable state of initinal lightening and at the stable state after lightened for 30 minutes, in order to analize and compare the optic characteristic and electrical energy of these two types of lighting equipment. This research value may be a guide reference for the user while selecting new lighting equipment, either for the manufacturer to improve the performance of lighting equipment..
