The development of renewable energy is very important. Solar energy is the most important renewable energy source today. In applications of solar energy, the solar cell array may be shaded due to the change of circumstance. The shading effect will affect the output power of solar cell array. The study of shading effect can help the development of maximum output power tracking for solar cell array. The shading effect may result in two or multi peak power points in P-V curve of solar cell array. This will affect the output power efficiency of solar cell array due to the wrong tracking the maximum output power. In this paper, the solar cell array is simulated by PSpice under different shaded conditions for analyzing the shading effect of P-V curve.
