碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 98 === The business type’ franchise was established in 1950. Nowadays the franchise industry is booming in Taiwan. However, franchise plays an important role for entrepreneurial activity. Therefore, this study first tries to explore the business model of franchise system from franchisor’s viewpoint. Moreover, Taiwan’s chain-store franchise industry is facing an increasingly intensified competitive, franchisor must continually innovate in order to sustain competitive advantage and innovation is an important issue and trend for business practices in the future. Therefore, this study integrates the research stream of entrepreneurship and innovation to investigate the cross-level issue of entrepreneurial passion, optimism, innovative capability and performance. This study conducts the questionnaire investigation for the members of chain-store franchise industry in Taiwan. There are 427 valid questionnaires returned. By using the HLM 6.0 statistics software to analysis the data, and there are four main findings. Firstly, entrepreneurial passion has a significant positive effecting on the performance. Secondly, dispositional optimism has a significant positive influencing on the performance. Thirdly, innovative capability has a significant positive impacting on the performance. Finally, entrepreneurial passion can through innovative capability has a significant indirect effecting on the performance.
