The first one is about analyzing and designing a suitable structure of a cup to utilize the special behaviors of Phase Change Materials in latent heat storage purpose in combination with a vacuum layer acting as an excellent insulation. The purpose of this design is to create a rapid temperature balancing container which can change temperature of the stored substance quite fast into a desired value and keep that temperature last longer than any other kinds of available container. The second concern is about the whole process of designing and manufacturing the mold for mass production of the cup, which could make an ambitious promise for making the cup become a real commercial product. In this study, designing process is discussed in details from quite tiny points in designing the mold, actual problems and solutions in manufacturing the mold, etc … till the simulation analysis of behaviors of the mold by means of Moldex 3D software. Finally, the real final products have been tested carefully in laboratory for their thermal characteristics for both transient responses and the concision between real response and their mathematic model. Results have shown a good similarity between mathematic model characteristics and real working curves. Furthermore, the desired temperature can last for many hours which shows an extremely big advantage compared with available products. 陳長仁 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 185 en_US
