In the study, to come up with a novel class-E DC/DC inverter both low cost and high efficiency, and while making comparison to the traditional class D resonant inverter required of two power rate switches, the type of novel class E DC/DC inverter is only required of one power switch, at the same time the later is only in need of one set of trigger signal to run the power rate switch, hence the cost of the latter is lower and it is simple on the making of control circuits, moreover, in order to improve on the circuit efficiency for the novel class E DC/DC inverter, it is not only necessary to make switching frequency higher than the circuit resonant frequency while power rate is switched on with current charge, but to devise at the time of current transmission when the parallel capacitance voltage is equal to zero, and since the energy on the capacitor is zero, there is nearly no loss with the switch on current transmission. As a result, if the component parameters are selected appropriately, it is okay to make ZVS on the power rate switching operation, able to lower switching loss, instead to improve on the overall efficiency of the circuits. Finally, by the comparison of results between computer assimulation and actual circuit measurement, to verify that the novel class E DC/DC inverter suggested in the study is indeed operated under a status of zero-voltage-switching, with a soft-switching trait, moreover, as verified by experiment at last, the novel class E DC/DC inverter is with overall efficiency rate as high as 90.09%, to be quite satisfied on such a result.
