Summary: | 碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 98 === Resonant converter is the L-C resonant tank that results AC voltage from oscillating output, and AC voltage through bridge rectifier changed into DC voltage. Since this kind of converter is working on high frequency, its capacitor and inductor are smaller then other converters. Resonant converters have different resonant styles because of different combinations of the inductors and capacitors of which resonant tank be composed. Also, when the resonant converter switches its power, it can achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) or zero-current switching (ZCS) to reduce the switching losses and to improve the efficiency of the converter. This thesis presents a new single-switch class-e parallel loaded resonant converter which is using only a single switch to reduce the switching losses, and is different from the class-d converter that needs two switches. This new resonant converter is simple circuit structure, cost-effective and efficient.
This new resonant converter uses a single switch to make high frequency switch, it combines the L-C resonant tank which is composed of inductor and capacitor to produce oscillating output voltage and charging current. It achieves the character of soft switching and to control the output of voltage and current by adjusting the switching frequency of the power. This circuit uses a single switch to do the conversion in order to reduce the switching loss and improve efficiency. The highest efficiency of this new resonant converter is 91.57%.
The operating principles and the circuit mode are analyzed in detail, using computer simulation and circuit implementation to verify and investigate. The results confirmed this circuit is capable to achieve the character of soft switching and high efficiency.
