碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 護理學研究所 === 98 === Abstract The purpose of this study was to understand Self-care behaviors and related factors of type 2 diabetes patients in remote region. Data were collected by purposeful sampling method in a Tainan County certain country community medical treatment out-patient service from July 01,2009 to November 15, 2009. A total of 200 subjects were collected by questionnaire and interview. A constructed questionnaire was established with relevant scales, including demographic data, disease characters, social support, self-efficacy and self-care behavior. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were evaluated for internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and content validity. Data analysis was performed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results indicated: (1) The standarized score of the self-care behaviors was 56.03. In which, the highest score was behavior of exercise and the lowest score was behavior of foot care. (2) The standarized score of the social support was 64.15. In which, the highest score was emotional support and the lowest score was information support. (3) The standarized score of the self-efficacy was 73.88. In which, the highest score was behavior of foot care and the lowest score was behavior of exercise.（4）Level of education was the most important explanatory factor for the total and each domains of Self-care behaviors and accounted for 17.5%-29.1% of the total amount of variance.
