Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理學院碩士班 === 98 === Since 1995, National Health Insurance System in Taiwan has been provided the people a more complete medical environment and the quality of medical services. However, some people who were short of medical concepts and practices have deviation, irrespective the severity and urgency of disease, like going to a large hospital or directly to the emergency room, they distort classification for mental health care system and the priority of medical needs. In a limited manpower and resources for emergency medical care, if the "non-emergency patients" who excessive use of emergency medical resources, would lend the "true emergency patients" resulting in to "time delay medical treatment" and "medical resources squeezed out" phenomenon. Therefore, how to correct medical habit will be key issues that the Government agencies, medical institutions and academic units should concern. To efficiency allocate the limited emergency medical resources, the government agencies develop integrated emergency medical classification, and adjust partial fee according to different levels of medical institutions. However, from the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, R.O.C. the Statistical Annual Report of Medical Care Institutions Status found that emergency medical institutions in Taiwan, number of patient go from 3,962,148 in 1992''s to 6,569,247 in 2006''s. During this period, emergency patients grew up about 66%. Thus, emergency medical triage system, and part of the burden of the price mechanism does not appear to significantly inhibit the effect. In order to understand the emergency room resources, medical institutions have significant distortions. This study intends to analysis a military teaching hospital emergency department patient data at South Taiwan by sex, age, identity and doctor triage several other factors to understand the impact of the hospital''s patients use the emergency medical resources available features. We find that: (1) male in the emergency use of medical resources was higher than females. (2) the use of emergency medical resources to patients ages 21-30 years was significantly higher than other age groups. (3) the number of general health insurance status of patients with slightly higher than the identity of those visits related to the number of deals, but the number of visits the proportion of preferential status, it should be much larger than non-military hospitals. (4) The number of patients who triage level Ⅲ is significantly higher than triage level Ⅱ. It shows that condition of emergency medical to the hospital is loose.
