Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理學院碩士班 === 98 === With the wide open door to the domestic banking system,one may have often heard of the retreats of the banks from the market for the past decade, after experiencing a series of financial thunderstorms and becoming defenseless because of the high homogeneity of all the banks, the small scale of the whole market, and the deficiency of fulfilling risk control systems. And under such circumstances, even though most surviving banks are actually not very profitable, there are still a few ones sparing no efforts to attain their goals of prosperity and become very successful. This thesis, on the basis of case study, tries to undertake researches on the series of efforts of reconstruction made by the domestic banks after the financial thunderstorms. They try to reconstruct their banks by means of the performance evaluations based on the BSC four perspectives and the risk management aspect. As far as the management strategies are concerned, they introduce KPI as a theoretical framework basis for constructing performance evaluation indices. Based on the introduction of all the ingredients of the PKI, the results of the research are as follows after the data analysis and deduction:1.The anticipated objective of the bank focuses mainly on finance connected with other perspectives. In other words, the bank may strategically keep finance as a top priority and put it in a higher proportion, leading to all the staff to focus their efforts on finance so that the annual surplus objective may be successfully achieved.2.Besides the finance strategy, the bank will be equipped with very strict risk risk control systems and will decrease the loss of bad debts to ensure that the profit may be shared with the shareholders. The business culture of the case-study bank usually holds a conservative creed—“The less we earn, the fewer bad debts we face,” which is the top general consensus among all the bank staff.3.Objective-setting in each perspective should be kept in a different proportion because of the different quality of each job. Therefore, the jobs related to tellers and sales department staff should focus on the connection with the customers. As far as the operational line is concerned, the bank should put emphasis on the inter-connection of the internal procedures.4.The result of the examination on the questionnaires: as for the identification of executing KPI system, females are higher than men. There is no apparent difference among all the jobs(corporate finance AO, personal finance AO), and job ranks(5-12). The result will be helpful to the continual promotion of the system. The above result shows all the factors of the success of executing KPI of the case-study bank. However, in the analyses of the results of the questionnaires, some interviewees expect that the management may really associate the promotion of the staff more with the carrying out the KPI system. In other words, the management should provide more concrete motives for all the staff to develop their own potentialities of the execution of KPI system so that the KPI system may be close to its perfection.
