Highly transparent films of various formulations were successfully prepared. For the synthesized films, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy was employed to measure the transmittance, while contact angle measurements were made to study their surface energy. It was found that the surface energy was reduced with the addition of TMPTMA. The addition of TMPTMA also reduced the level of water uptake. Dynamic mechanical analysis revealed that the higher the concentration of MAA, the higher the Tg of the films. The addition of TMPTMA also slightly promoted the Tg of the films, too.
