| Summary: | 博士 === 玄奘大學 === 中國語文學系碩博士班 === 98 === This thesis is base on the philology, and culture method. The research aims to analysis on West region and Chinese Monks. We also discuss on the contribution of Monk’s synchronic and diachronic, and the history of Chinese Buddhism.
How China to get to know about Buddhism? How Chinese belief Buddhism and propagandize for it. In the history of Wei Jin Period and the Six Dynasties, the West region and Chinese Monks were propagandized the Buddhism even they might lost their life.
The Emperor Wu of Liang helped to propagandize the Buddhism and he also helps Hui Jiao and Eminent Monks. The science history of Wei Jin Period and the Six Dynasties, the author can write base on the theory. The Monk and eminent Monk are become role model for everyone until now.
On the year of 66 to 519, there are 257 Monks, and 200 something people has seem on the writing skill of Hui Jiao and Sima Quian’s history record. Hui Jiao used to use the appendix writing skill. Author can add any information on the appendix anytime. Eminent Monks is very important role model on the Buddhism history.
This is the different between Eminent Monk and Monks, the Monks renunciation no matter on the inner or outer factors which has the positivity motivations. They are willing to propagandize the Buddhism forever.
The Buddhism’s origin is from India. In the history of China’s Buddhism, the Monk helps propagandize to everyone. The West Region and Monks also worked on this really hard. The Emperor Wu of Han has indicated Chien Chang to the West Region. This is another main reason help to propagandize between West Region and Chinese Monks. Usually they propagandize by themselves.
After Wei Jin, West Region Buddhism can’t fulfill the Chinese Monks, so the Chinese Monks decided to go to the origin India. There are a lot of Chinese Monks volunteer to go to India. If the trip was so dangerous that they don’t even care about it. It doesn’t matter between West Region and Monk. The Chinese Monks go to India for Buddhism to propagandize in China. The two groups have two different types.
This theory aims on analysis the Eminent Monk and Monks, and here is the conclusion show on the below. 1st Establish on the Yi Fa and this effective. 2nd the Monks Renunciation are model. 3rd the Monks really help to propagandize on the Buddhism.
