The purpose of this thesis is to study whether students as future medical caring professionals , beside study professional courses and keep the professional knowledge in the heart sincerely , but also combine the professional knowledge and 「Human」 thought in order to fully show their professional ability with the concept of 「Total Care」 in the medicare speciality in the future, and treat suffering helpless patients with caring and empathy Through having the religious belief and experiences of serving other people , which can enable students to communicate, interact with people and to take 「Love」、「Mercy」and 「obliging」as guidelines for action .
The researcher also wants to understand the relationship between social service work and religious belief of volunteers in XiangHai Club of Fooyin University , hopes to state the value of volunteers religious belief through studying documents and interviewing .
There are four aspects listed below which this thesis wants to study in order to know how religious belief、volunteers self-sudy influence serving patients work:
1. To study students attitude and skill when engaged in social service through the religious belief.
2. To study if students with religious belief knows the meaning and value of life more clearly,especially in the cognition of the death.
3. To study the fearless great love spirit of religious belief which are shown while volunteer students looking after patients .
4. To check if students can adjust mood in the course of social service and can be more tough while facing setbacks through implement practice of taking action with faith .
The result of study is summed up as follows:
First、faith motivates students social service work .
Second、students can face the setback even more with faith .
Third、students can sooth patient's mood through the religious belief.
Fourth、caring and listening can make the distance with the patient closing.
Fifth、the Buddhism life and death view can reduce the sorrow in facing the critically ill ones.
According to the above-mentioned results, this thesis proposes some concrete suggestions to researchers who want to promote religious belief combined with education of nurse students .
