碩士 === 華梵大學 === 工業設計學系碩士班 === 98 === Abstract
This study aims at presenting abstract painting as a major creative form, combining the elements of unsettlement, diversity, ambiguity, complexity, and vitality of Postmodernism and my own passion for Chinese calligraphy. The combination and stimulation produces a diversified mismatch. This mismatch is empowered by Mr. Derrida’s grammatology, so my creation and status quo becomes an existence in its own right.
First of all, my emphasis on the presentation of abstract painting is on both the match and mismatch of dots, lines, areas, and color blocks with Chinese calligraphy, and the cohesion of Abstract painting and Postmodernism. Secondly, according to Mr. Derrida’s assertion of Trace in grammatology, besides the symbolic meaning of the symbol itself, what’s more important are the act of writing itself and the meaning of the word itself. This point of view fits perfectly well with my assertion of creation.
Last but not least, through the combination of the abstract painting after the nineteenth-century Cubism Deconstruction Figurative and the diversified and rich strokes of Chinese calligraphy, Postmodernism energy and my status quo are thus further reconstructed. In the end, the enriched and diversified creation and assertion exemplify HUANG,WAN-JUI’s life journey of creativity.
