Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 東方人文思想研究所 === 98 === ABSTRACT Owing to the occupational interests of being a clerical staff for dealing with secretarial documents in the recent years, the course of ”Special Subject of Wen Xuan’s Selected Literature” was therefore selected fortunately and happily during the master program. However, it leads me auspiciously to dive into the field of “Emperor’s edicts” of “Ancient Practical Writings” by reading the “Edict of Distinguished Men’s Request” of the Emperor Wu of Han previously. Since the erudition or elegance for edicts of Han’s Emperor and the magnificence, resplendence or gorgeousness for edicts of the Emperor Wen of Han, the investigation and adventure of “Emperor’s edicts” was therefore confirmed and studied as the research topic of my master program. The present thesis is divided into five chapters: Chapter One “Introduction” includes three parts. The first part “Motivation” illustrates the reason of selection of “The Edicts of Emperor Wen of Han” as the target of the present investigation; The second part “Study Method” provides the whole construction of the present thesis alternately using Literature Analysis Method, Statistic Analysis Method, Comparative Analysis Method, Inductive Method, Classification Analysis Method, and Annotation Method with the materials of the edicts of Emperor Wen of Han entitled from the books of “Records of the Grand Historian”, “Book of Han”, “Western Han and Estern Han Imperial Edicts and Orders of Imperial Collection of Four”, and “The Whole Ancient Chinese Prose of Three Generation, The Qin/Han Dynasty, Three Kingdoms, and Six Dynasties”. The second part of “Literary Styles and Structures” describes the literary styles of “The Edicts of Emperors” are one kind of “Practical Writings” but not “Pure Literature or Art”. The four characteristics of “The Edicts of Emperors” are as following: (1) Consistency; (2) Legal Institutions; (3) Specification; (4) Replacement. The third part of “Character Use and Application” illustrated the substitutional rules of “The Edicts of Emperors” that make them feel elegant, professional, resplendence or gorgeous. Chapter Three of “Meaning and Explanation of The Edicts of Emperor Wen of Han” also includes three parts. The first part of “History of Emperor Wen of Han” illustrates the personalities of ”filial piety and fraternal duty” or “kindheartedness” of Emperor Wen of Han. Before the death of Empress Dowager Lu, Emperor Wen of Han was a temporary emperor.
