With the trend of Cloud computing and related potential /huge business, many IT manufacturers put huge investment for developing products related to “Cloud Computing”. RAID manufacturers who are professional in data service and backup /recovery are also the key players. In additional to product HW and SW, efficiency of product service is also critical for product operation since “Cloud Computing” is tend to be more mission critical and down-time need to be minimized. RAID manufacturers should study the meaning and value added of service and consider the strategy of service business. The research is a case study to understand the business operation of service by in-depth interview of management levels of RAID manufacturer with SWOT analysis from 4 major service structure aspects.
Conclusions and recommendations of this study the focus is to describe the cases of companies from companies in other industries, in the next cloud computing plans to meet customer demand and counter the threat of competitors in the service of innovation and profit models evolved under the three stage, from initial cost center oriented product support services to the maintenance costs of medium-term bottom line profit service oriented, to the last period of active growth of the company's core strategic orientation. While the case study analysis of the company has not yet reached the stage of active growth, but by this service model could be a disk array industry has yet to follow up the company of other suggestions and references.
