Unnecessary energy is consumed. I have the solution. No longer will the door open again. The product I offer is a touch sensor, a switch, hooked to an automatic door. The door only opens when somebody presses it, optimizing resources. There are four main factors inherent to the use of this product that every customer would benefit from: - Reducing expenses through energy saving - Space efficiently - Eco-friendly display - Avoid annoyance of customers and workers As mentioned above, the main benefit of this product is to reduce energy consumption. In addition, it has other interesting advantages like using space efficiently. For instance, some offices, with a high limitation in space, would like to install automatic doors to have a better distribution of the furniture. Common doors cannot do that function, but until now, automatic doors were inappropriate because they kept opening every time somebody passed next to it. With the touch sensor, efficiency in small spaces could be achieved. Furthermore, many companies could be interested in showing an eco-friendly display to improve their brand image by showing commitment with the environment by reducing energy consumption. Regarding to this point, Spanish government is establishing restrictive measures in every government building to reduce energy use. Government buildings will be one of my targets. Moreover, the principal targets would be door manufacturers, door resellers and door installers. Some companies accomplish two out of these three criteria. After getting in touch with some of the potential Spanish customers, they seem to be interested in the product and feel that it can be really useful in order to increase the value of their product. To start up the company small initial investment is needed, only about 10.500 €. There are no manufacturing plants, warehouses, labor force, costly transport vehicles, or raw materials needed. In addition, the device is easy to install and there is a huge potential market due to the great number of stores in Spain that use sliding doors. Furthermore, the penetration to the market is really fast and easy to implement. There is an existing market waiting. Moreover, compared to the price of an automatic door, the price of the touch sensor would be around 5% of the total. It is affordable and realistic.
