Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 98 === Lacking strength of the muscle is one of the main symptoms of myasthenia gravis patients. It will affect the normal operations of patient’s body organ. In clinic, swallowing difficulty is a common symptom of the myasthenia gravis patients. It will influence the living quality and nutrition absorption of the patients seriously. However, swallowing activity involves different kinds of interaction and coordination between muscle and nervous systems. It is difficult to diagnose the dysphagia for the clinician. Moreover, the symptom of myasthenia gravis is instable which make the judgment intractable. It becomes an important researching topic about how to diagnose the degree of dysphagia exactly in the clinic. This paper proposes a dysphagia discrimination system for myasthenia gravis. We use non-invasive Adam's apple type microphone and surface electromyogram to collect the swallowing signal generated by the myasthenia gravis patients with dysphagia symptom. The system investigates the sound and muscle activity during swallowing water. The system then extracte features to discriminate the severity of each swallowing stage. The experimental results show that the system can provide a concrete feature for clinicians to diagnose the Myasthenia gravis patients with dysphagia accordingly.
