Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 心理學系 === 98 === In previous research, Chou, Wang & Liu (in press) had shown that structure-level factors have greater impact than individual-level factors for fresh graduates when entering labor market. Thus, Chou et. al. had developed the concept of transitability of situation including three levels of transitability (i.e., high, medium, low) by using professional consensus method. The purpose of this research is to empirical testified the concept by using database from Taiwan Department Survey and O*NET. Characteristics of knowledge of departments and O*NET & CIP crosswalk occupation data are taken into account to formulate a quantitative index for the concept. Departments are later re-categorized into four types: Expert, Elite, Professional, and Fundamental. The result reveals that students’ opinions in job seeking differ between Intensive and Extensive type, Intensive adapts professionalism recognition approach while Extensive uses an adaptive approach.
