The transmembrane domain might be the major part of odorant binding site in olfactory receptor protein. This research focuses on the hypervariable region of the third, fourth and fifth transmembrane domain responsible for specific odors. Seventeen hydrophobic transmembrane peptides are prepared with the solid-phase peptide synthesis method. Those synthetic peptides are coated onto surface of piezoelectric(PZ) electrode. The peptide biochips are screened with different odorants to determine the selectivity of these peptides. The result of the studies showed several transmembrane peptides sequence has selectivity binding activity to odorant molecules. Peptide sequence TM 5-1, TM 5-3, TM 7-2 have selectivity binding with butanoic acid and TM 3-3 has selectivity binding with dimethylamine. GAO, HUA-SHENG 高華生 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
