The frequency of use, the elements of barriers, the value of teaching, future demands as well as its differences will be included in this study. The research is based on a survey of 169 science teachers of junior high school in Yi-lan county. The number of valid samples totaled 149, or 88.2% of the total research population. They are analyzed in the way of descriptive statistics, T-test, One way ANOVA, Scheffe Mothod and Tamhane's T2. Based on the result of the analysis ,the conclusion can be summarized as the following: 1. The highest frequency of the instructional resources are ranked in sequence: the printed book prepared for teachers, the electronic question bank, the experiment equipments, the short movies and the authentic version experiment movies. Then, the lowest frequency of the instructional resources are also ranked in sequence: website resources, the electronic textbooks, flash cards&the three-dimensional books, the chart cards and the flip charts. 2. The frequency of the use in the township are obviously higher than the use in the city; other background variables differ in the types of instructional resources. 3. The elements of the barriers are approximately concluded: The insufficient teaching time, the content not good and the inconvenience of the operation. 4. The teaching value of the study result is: “lets the student obtain the concrete experience by the sense organ stimulation”; the teaching value of the teaching convenience is “saves the preparation resources time to reduce the teacher to bear”. 5. The degree in the future demand will be increased between being in needs and the need to the uttermost. Which indicates that the science teachers have high requirements on instructional resources provided by the publishers.
