Summary: | 碩士 === 遠東科技大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 98 === This study mainly discusses the feasibility of the high valued reuse of discarded LCD glasses existing in the process of LCD. Through the addition of LCD powders with different ratios (0wt.%, 10wt.%, 20wt.%, 30wt.%, 40wt.%) and different diameters (40μm, 105μm, 297μm, 597μm), the clay sintered under the various sintering temperatures (1050℃, 1100℃, 1150℃, 1200℃) is investigated to find out the effects on the multi-porous structure. The result reveals that through the proper parameter control and by means of the liquid-phase sintering and thermal expansion from glasses, not only can a considerable quantity of discarded LCD glasses be added but the sintering temperature can be lowered to produce high strength multi-porous structure which can be further applied to the fabrication of smart water-saving flower pots. This achievement not only can make great use of industrial waste but can save energy, create new business and conform to the worldwide tendency towards environmental protection.
