Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 機械工程學所 === 98 === In the post process of casting, there are several ways to clean and remove the surface contaminant and residual sands. Sand blasting is the best way to clean the surface of castings at present time. This paper proposes a novel method to clean and remove the surface contaminants and residual sands of castings. Accordingly, the ultrasonic transducer and ultrasonic horn is used to emit ultrasonic-sound waves into the casting with resonance response and thus by means of the oscillation of particles of the castings to remove and clean the casting surface.
Solid works is used to build geometric models of casting, and then the resultants are transformed into ANSYS mode. Through suitable design and analysis of the models, the resonant response of oscillation is created and used to enhance the surface displacement of the castings for finishing surface contaminant.
For obtaining the requirements mentioned above, a wave-guide block with stepped geometry is attached between the end of the ultrasonic horn and the surface of the casting, and a series of analysis are implemented. Meanwhile, the fixed position of the casting (gripping method) is also studied for maintaining a better vibration mode shape and particle displacement of the casting. Finally, enhancing the minimum particle displacement of the casting is significantly found and the surface contaminant and residual sands of casting can be successfully finished.
