Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 景觀與遊憩研究所 === 98 === The government pursues a two-day weekend policy in recent years. Family travel has become the most popular type of domestic tourism. Family travel experience will benefit, maintain, and increase of family relations, and make closer to husband and wife, children, and other family members with family functioning of cohesion and adaptability. Past studies have indicated that gender-role attitude and tourism involvement are important factors to family functioning, however, few empirical studies explore that the antecedents of gender-role attitude and tourism involvement affect family functioning. Besides, the family travel decision-making may be different influences on family functioning. Accordingly, the purpose of this study are to examine the components of family functioning, to understand the relationships among tourist’s gender-role attitude, tourism involvement and family functioning, as well as to compare autonomic/synchronistic family vacationers’ family functioning intension. In this study interviews and literature review are used to collect scale items of the gender-role attitude, tourism involvement, and family functioning. On-site questionnaire are administered to collect data. The conclusions of this study are: (1) gender-role does not affect family functioning, but does have an indirect effect on family functioning through tourism involvement. (2) autonomic family vacationers require that personal loyalty and consistency; and (3) synchronistic family vacationers are attached to family rules and communication and roles. Therefore, this study practically suggests that the promotion of family tourism will benefit family tourism and family activities in tourism can provide family members to share family relationships.
