The aim of this study is to probe into the relation among the attraction of facilities, degree of satisfaction and willingness to return of urban metropolitan park from the viewpoint of user’s cognition, in order to construct an explanatory model.
And a Regression model is employed to formulate the relationship between individual’s behavioral intention of an urban metropolitan park and its influencing factors. A set of questionnaires was designed and visitors in Taichung Metropolitan Park were interviewed in order to collect the required data for empirical study. Measured and calculated each question, inquired visitors’ characteristics by means of descriptive statistics. Finally, Using Importance-Performance Analysis to analyze visitors’ perception difference between expected experience and practical experience, the results can be referred to Taichung urban metropolitan park management.
We investigated visitors who want revisit in Taichung urban metropolitan park. The valid number of questionnaires is 369. The research findings show as following:
1. Visitors’ characteristics including sex, age, familial aspects, vocation, education level, dwelling, frequency which had significant influence on their recreation experiences
2. Visitors’ characteristics including sex, age, familial aspects, vocation, education level, dwelling, frequency which had significant influence on their degree of satisfaction.
3. When visitors got higher degree of satisfaction they would more likely to revisit and to recommend Taichung urban metropolitan park.
4. The result from the Regression model shows that recreational spots for viewing, equipments of physical fitness and lavatories are the most important three facilities.
5. The Importance-Performance Analysis results show that eight items had high expectation and high experience value that means in “Quadrant A- need to keep up the good work”. There also had four items located in “Quadrant C – gradually improve in the future”. But no item located in “Quadrant D-Concentrate Here” and “Quadrant B-Possible Overkill”. Possibility, The active impression was similar to actual impression. It was through the messages which visitors was not went to Taichung urban metropolitan park.
