碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 建築所 === 98 === 英文摘要 Abstract The research uses literature database and drawing data as the form construction basis to study the construction and the decoration vocabulary of the Yan-Lon houses in Taichung area during Japanese Colonial Period. I construct the grammar rule of “form” from the design calculation aspects, and through analysis and induction to sort the decoration vocabulary of the Yan-Lon houses in Taichung area. The research is based on the construction and the decoration vocabulary of the Yan-Lon houses in Taichung area during Japanese Colonial Period, the literature database and drawing data to be the form construction. The concrete content of the research can be concluded as four items as followed: 1. Literature databases and cases review; 2. the construction of a theoretical framework; 3. the case study; 4. the conclusion and suggestions. 1. Literature databases and cases review: I collect and compare related literature databases and education-related papers as the basic points of the study. 2. The construction of a theoretical framework: according to the review and analysis of literature databases, I explore the basic form and construction of the Yan-Lon houses in Taichung area during Japanese Colonial Period, and analyze the decoration vocabulary of the Yan-Lon houses. 3. The case study: by observing the analysis and comparison of the Yan-Lon houses in Taichung area during Japanese Colonial Period, I obtain the extended rules of the Yan-Lon houses. 4. Conclusion and suggestions: combining the above theories and studies of case analysis, we can understand the types, constructions and the design consideration of the Yan-Lon houses in Taichung area during Japanese Colonial Period, and comprehend how the house owner reflects the social culture and values of the Yan-Lon houses during Japanese Colonial Period through the architectural style of the Yan-Lon houses at that time.
