As versatile demands are often unsatisfied, refurbishment is required before moving-in of the buyer, causing more wastes and misspending resources. More significantly, the merit of energy-saving and CO2 -reduction is forsaken. In this regard, we analyz items and equipments that can be omitted in regular home-delivery via literature review and expert interview. LCA studies of buildings are referred to establish CO2 emission database of building materials used in home refurbishment. Three row houses in Tainan city are selected as samples for the calculateon of CO2 emission figures in three delivery models, namely “standard”, “simplified”, and “modest”. In the “simplified” model, omitted are interior walls, flooring, and bathroom and kitchen equipments, while in the “modest” model, only bathroom and kitchen equipments are not installed. The purpose is to estimate CO2 reduction of each model. The results revealed that the “simplified” model is the most effective in terms of CO2 reduction (219.23 kg/m2), followed by the “modest” (219.23 kg/m2) and “standard” (255.54 kg/m2) models. Market acceptance of these models is assessed via questionnaire survey held between September 2008 and March 2009. Visitors to the selected sales reception centers of row houses in Tainan city were interviewed. As high as 65% of the subjects claimed that they do not appreciate the “simplified” model while 61.8% of them recognized the merit of the “modest” model. Therefore, it is concluded in this study that the “modest” model is most feasible in terms of both CO2 reduction and marketability. To further enhance row houses, designers are suggested to focus on user demands, such as storage facilities featuring flexibility. The ultimate goal is to facilitate environmental sustainability in the construction industry. Ming-Jen Cheng 鄭明仁 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 136 zh-TW |
