With the evolution of technology, the interface of intelligent technology is more and more required, and touch panel applications are becoming generally. Since 2007 Apple introduced iPhone, the touch panel has led new technical main stream as a pioneer, and the application of touch panel also has gradually developed to mobile phones, digital cameras and other electronic products. According to a Gartner, he predicted that touch panel will account for the global market share of 58% in mobile devices in 2013, it allows more and more consumers to choose a touch panel mobile phone. When user touches the panel, the panel will detect precisely in touched position without negative response from the phone. Therefore, it shows that the linearity precision of panel is very important for its quality, and this research is going to build improvement of linearity defect of touch panel. This paper applies the Six Sigma DMAIC approach to improve the touch panel of linearity defect. First, identifies Critical to Quality(CTQ), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and capability analysis, and uses Cause-and-Effect find out significant factors of linearity defect, and utilizes design of experiment to carry out the optimal operating conditions of significant factors for further verification of the best process capability, finally, set up to the SOP, and adds to control items. This research that after DMAIC to improve, enhances the linearity of quality and increase to company''s competitiveness.
