Investigate the differences between peer relationship and social skill; the differences between peer relationship and social behavior. Explore the correlation between social skill and social behavior. Predict social behavior with social skill of adolescents.
852 students are selected from junior high school by convenience sampling in Taiwan. The subjects are administered by Peer Nomination List, Parenting Style Scale, Social Skill Scale, and Social Behavior Scale. Frequency distribution, chi-square test, one-way ANOVA, product-moment correlation, and multiple regression are used for the data analysis. The followings are the findings.
There is not any significant difference between parenting style and peer relationship. There are significant differences between parenting style and social skill; there are significant differences between parenting style and negative behavior. There are not significant differences between peer relationship and social skill; there are significant differences between peer relationship and negative behavior. Many respects of social skill have correlation with social behavior. Social skill can significantly predict social behavior.
