Through their efforts, they expect that local residents can have more place identity and a stronger sense of cohesion and therefore be more active in local affairs to create vigor of their hometown. Possessing rich cultural heritages, Yanshuei Township is a town of many features. In recent years, under the efforts to discover the cultural elements of the town and organize development of the local history, Yanshuei Township has gradually emerged as a cultural and ancient town. The aim of this study was to investigate the local cultural industries in Yanshuei Township and local residents’ place identity. First of all, the contents and current statuses of the local cultural industries in Yanshuei Township were examined, and place identity was defined. Later, an empirical analysis was conducted through a questionnaire survey and field interviews. The research findings include: 1.Local residents’ “affective identity” is higher than their “participation” and “cognition”. 2.Residents working in the military, government, and education institutions have a low level of local identity. 3.“Participation” and “cognition” can enhance “satisfaction with local cultural industries”. 4.The development of the local cultural industries in Yanshuei Township is characterized by “localness”, “uniqueness”, and “culturalness”. 5.In Yanshuei Township, there is a gradual integration of the local cultural industries with tourism. 6.The cultural activities of farmers, including “cricket fighting” and “pigeon bell” have declined. 7.Consensuses regarding planning and implementation of the local cultural industries can hardly be reached. 翁徐得 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 154 zh-TW |
