Auto industry is changed dramatically. Beside well-known brand names and good reputation, new competitive enterprises are entering the market. Competitiveness is the main weapon for a corporation to extend market; thus, how to increase competitiveness effectively and completely for a company will become the most important issue in the future.
Based on company competitiveness and TPM Kaizen activities, this research investigable how to raise corporation competitiveness through TPM project for an auto parts company. The main goals of this study: (1) the theory analysis and the criterion evaluation for an enterprise competitiveness; (2) the paper with a Taiwanese auto parts company for our case study and we will see how companies improve TPM activities consistently; (3) and the investigation to find out how a business competitiveness will be influenced after implementing TPM Kaizen activities.
By case study employing method; this research focus on auto parts OEM factory to discuss. By applying documents, direct observation and participant observation, we acquire relevant case study information and make statistical analysis. Finally, we find how TPM Kaizen activities make a company more competitive. By examine the TPM success by the case study, we provide some insights for Taiwanese industry business to make more improvements to raise competitiveness and develop sustainable management.
