A Study on the Participating Motivation and the Satisfaction of the Baseball Field for the SHETZU Island Baseball League Players

碩士 === 大葉大學 === 運動事業管理學系 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to examine the participating-motivation of baseball players participating in the Shetzu Island Baseball League and their satisfaction with the baseball field. Three hundred copies of the questionnaire were handed out, and 246 valid ones were retrieved, yielding a valid retrieval rate of 82%. The questionnaires under-went descriptive statistics, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson Correla-tion, and the findings are as follows: 1. Most of the baseball players of the Shetzu Island Baseball League were unmar-ried, between the age of 26 and 35, with a monthly income of 30001~45000, college educated, working in the service sector, and living outside Shetzu Island. 2. In terms of participating-motivation, the Shetzu Island Baseball League players showed more needs for achievement and socializing, followed by health, and showed the least need for knowledge. 3. The Shetzu Island Baseball League players were only moderately satisfied with the baseball field, indicating there is much room for improvement. The respondents were least satisfied with the sanitation of the bathrooms, and were moderately satisfied with the overall image and software of the facility. The respondents were either unsatis-fied or moderately satisfied with the hardware of the facility. 4. There is a significantly positive correlation between the participating-motivation of the Shetzu Island Baseball League players and their satisfaction with the baseball field, indicating the stronger the participating-motivation, the more satisfied they are with the facility.
