Abstract
The major purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the career orientation curriculum on comprehensive high school students’ choices of education pursuit. A questionnaire constructed by this researcher, “The influence of the career orientation curriculum on comprehensive high school students’ choices of education pursuit” was used as an instrument to collect the data. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, such as chi-square test, t-test, one way ANOVA and discriminative analysis. The results are as following:
1.The selection factors of comprehensive high school students in the
curriculum of career orientation are scored the moderate level;
the imfluence of career-orientation curriculum was scored the
higher level in the moderation.
2.There is a significant difference among different sex in the
comprehensive high school students’ choices of education pursuit.
3.There is a significant difference among different sex in
comprehensive high school students in the selection factors of
career orientation curriculum.
4.Career-orientation curriculum effects can be used to discriminate
the education pursuit.
5.The selection factors and the effects in the curriculum of career
orientation toward education pursuit are significantly predicted .
According to the research results, suggestions are offered to educational institutions, comprehensive high schools and future research as reference.
