In addition, the factors influence parents’ attitudes toward electronic toys are discussed. In this study, 520 questionnaires were sent to parents in Taichung city to fill out, and 415 questionnaires were returned. The content of the questionnaire includes three parts: development, designing function, and safety. The data were then analyzed by descriptive statistics, χ² tests, t-tests and one-way analysis of variance. The conclusions of this research are stated in the following: 1.Most young children (about 82.32%) use electronic toys in the study, and their first use of electronic toys was mostly after the age of 49 months. Although children have many electronic toys, about 65.1% of the parents in the study think that children prefer traditonal toys. 2.Parents have positive attitudes toward the development and designing function of electronic toys. However, their attitudes toward the safety of electronic toys are not so positive. Besides, the most important factor on parents’ selection of toys for their children is safety, and they concern the least about the price of the toys. 3.Young children’s use of electronic toys are difference by the educational level of their parents. 4.Parents attitudes toward electronic toys are difference by children’s age, the number of sibling, parents’ educational level, and parents’ experiences of electronic toy use in the early years. 5. Parents attitudes toward electronic toys and young children’s use of electronic toys are difference situation. Poh-Hwa Liang 梁珀華 學位論文 ; thesis 114 zh-TW
