In many places of Taiwan, people starts to lay emphasis on culture tourism, and to promote the culture creativity step by step thus many culture commodities has been created. As far as current cultural commodities I have seen in the market are considered, I will find out about the abstruse part which is hidden behind their design esthetic senses and features. In this study, I temp to understand cultural phenomenon first by the fundamentals of Semiotics and literal researches. Lai, Sheng-chuan ,a well-known drama director in Taiwan, once said “Originality is to set a question and then solve it in any possibility.” Figure originality is to produce differentia, and the differences between culture figures are to create the innermost influences of the receivers. To create cultural figurine, first requires to realize the local cultures, then to explore from three closer relations of signs, people and things mentioned in Semiotics. In Baudrillard(1998), the author says the process of forming a sign is it’s model phenomenon between culture and figures. Culture has been transformed into the commercial commodities that satisfy human minds and roles of necessary levels. To understand the current circumstances of toy figure phenomenon, I study with developing cultural figure in Hong Kong in recent years, and enter into our discussion article of “the cultural phenomenon of Da Jia Jenn Lann Temple.” In the end, at this research I finalize with different opinions and discussions regarding the design style. This study is an extension of Mazu culture and methods of designing cultural figures. I apply the distinguishments and commons of used categories of current cultural figures “the Cultural figures and Designer’s figures” to brainstorm ideas and designs. I also discuss and compare individual creations by analyzing the background of cultural figures, the meaningful elements of cultural figures, the styles and characteristics of cultural figures, the effect of cultural figures; figures are used through special circumstances, and the imitation of cultural figures. I induce the following important aspects that help to design cultural figures as the model of circumstance design and thinking.
