RFID technology can also be applied to many fields such as security management, transportation, medical treatment, logistic management, and container yard management. Data inspection and message transmission in the container yard waste much time. If there is a large amount of containers in the container yard and they are not placed in the right position, this will decrease the efficiency of the container yard operation. This study investigates the traditional container yards process and proposes to use RFID technology in the traditional process to solve time management problems in data inspection and message transmission. The system used in this study is based on EPCglobal Architecture Framework. The methods on deciding Application Level Event (ALE) specifications in container yards and how to capture EPC Information Service (EPCIS) events are discussed. Furthermore, a new container yard management method is mapped out to help reduce manpower requirement and lower transportation cost; thus, increasing the efficiency of container yard management. We also proposed the enterprise application simulation system. The enterprise application simulation system is based on animation mode that simulates the container import and export processes; this system also implements the EPCglobal Network. The simulation system reveals information where it confirms that using RFID technology in container yard management is useful and feasible.
