We design and manufacture a driver in this paper for the 3KW brushless dc motor (BLDCM). The motor can operate in high speed and torque, and use the electronic circuit instead of the carbon brush and commutator of conventional dc motor. Thus, The BLDCM has the advantages, such as high speed, low noise, and easy maintenance, but not the drawback of producing sparks. About the considerations of use, it can replace the other conventional dc motors because it is possessed of the characteristics of safety and reliability in worse environment. Therefore, it can be widely used in industry. In this paper, the IKCS22F60F2C intelligent power module is used as a power drive system to increase the reliability, security and stability of the system, and achieve the purpose of reducing the cost and space. Also, TMS320LF2407 digital signal processor (DSP) made by Texas Instruments is adopted as the algorithm device of control.
The traditional PI (proportional - integral) control rule is used to tune the torque and make the motor run smoothly. The 2200Vac is connected to the input of this power system. Through the bridge rectifier, the bus voltage obtained is 311Vdc. Also, the high-frequency transformer is used to transform the different output voltages providing for the driver circuit. It is not need to add extra device, such voltage and current devices. Thus, it saves the space of the whole system. Because of the IKCS22F60F2C’s internal structure has the drive circuit and protection mechanism, the space and cost in the whole system can be reduced, and the enhancement of the safety is also achieved.
