Friendly man-machine interface was written LabVIEW. The cutting vibration signal was collected in every second and divided into several pieces. Chatter diagnosis is based on the increase trend of each 4 consecutive divided signals. Adjusting spindle speed was used to suppress the cutting chatter. Diagnosis of BUE is based on whether the frequency of vibration signals decrease proportionally to the number of the cutting edges having BUE. When BUE occurs, the system will instantly send command to the CNC controller to stop the machine for cutter change.
