The crystal structure analysis showed that compounds 1~6 have similar 3D framework which was connected by Mg3O14 SBU(secondary building unit) and asymmetric BTC. Monovalent cations in the compounds can balance the charge. Complexes of 2~5 containing Na、K、Rb、Cs showed the foaming phenomenon when heated above 500℃. Ion radii will also influence the amount of solvent molecules. In section two, we used same ligand and metal but got different framework 7 and 8 connected by Mg4O18 SBU and BTC. These complexes were also characterized by Powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, IR spectroscopy, UV-VIS spectra, photoluminescence.
