In this thesis, spring for energy storage mechanism, Owing to the spring deformation during torsion bear very complex situation, in addition, the deformation of the spring energy storage must be in the elastic range, when deformation over this range will produce plastic deformation. Therefore, for understand of drive torque and spring in the elastic deformation energy storage relationship, when the spring achieve high energy storage within practical application demand. This study direct the fixed space spiral spring and vortex spring conduct analysis, and investigate the same size but different thickness, diameter, laps and shape of the spring ring, to spring achieve high storage capacity and efficiency, as the main design research demands. To achieve this vision, this thesis experimental verification of the validity of numerical analysis, by numerical analysis to find the best spring design, to achieve the maximum energy storage in the limited space.
