Since LLC resonant converter possess the advantages of high efficiency and low electromagnetic interference, they are widely applied in many applications. However, the EMI filter design becomes more complex because of the variable-frequency operation of LLC resonant converter. In this study, a buck converter is applied in the proposed circuit as the input source for the LLC resonant converter to achieve the constant frequency and constant output voltage operations. The genetic algorithm and Taguchi method are also conducted to optimalize the values of resonant elements. Eventually, this thesis designs and implements a buck-fed LLC resonant converter prototype with 400V input voltage and 24V/10A output, and the full-load efficiency is 85.7%. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed circuit.
