This study researches for a more systematic design and analyzes the brushless DC motor to reduce cost and improve the quality of the motor performance using the permanent magnet brushless DC micro-motor that drives the motor’s cooling fan as the research tool. In the traditional design, analytical method was used to compute for the design parameter and performance parameter of the permanent magnet brushless DC motor to establish a permanent magnet mathematical model. In the parameterization and optimization design considerations, traditional magnetic circuit analysis can’t effectively finish the task. Thus, this study combined the magnetic circuits. First, magnetic circuit method was used to design the initial specification of the motor.
