To quote the evolution of LED development from the beginning, and then introduce the basic principles of LED light-emitting, specifications, features, driver design, thermal issues, manufacturing processes, LED advantages and disadvantages and their applications. Next step is to introduce the experimental design and methods of this study. The content including hardware structure, electronic circuits, the specifications and characteristics of LED that are used in this study, light-emitting pattern experiments, light-emitting decay experiments, temperature-related tests, LED forward-voltage and power consumption testing, and introduce the test equipments for experiment and so on. With the experimental design and methods, after which is the real test, as well as records of experimental results and analysis. The test records and analysis including the test results of light-emitting pattern, the influence of light-emitting decay relate to the temperature, humidity, input power and lighting time, the influence of the street light measured under environmental luminance, the temperature distribution on the case of street light, LED forward voltage results in the parallel mode, as well as LED street light and incandescent light bulb in power consumption comparison.
